Isaiah's Birthday, VBS, and other things.

Isaiah pushing Noah in the doll stroller.

"I know my cup needs to be up there.  I just know it!"

My view.

I always wanted lots of flowers around my house, but I don't know much about growing them.  When we moved in, the flowering pear (?)  trees were blooming and our lilac was almost in full bloom.  Since then, I've discovered other beauties around my home.  These are some super cute, tiny little roses.

The Butterfly bushes make these flowers.

 Some pink ones here...

and not pictured, some white ones showed up about the time my pink ones faded.  :)  I'm so excited! My Gladiolus are about a foot tall.  I'm waiting on blooms from them!

Noah.  I caught him like this and said, "What are you doing?"  He replied, "I help!  I help!"

Playing in the sprinkler in the front yard.  Abby is the only one who will get REALLY wet.  Isaiah got a little wet and Emma got a few drops on her.  Noah was napping.

Decorating the sidewalk with chalk.

 School

math
I know it looks like Noah is eating the small pieces but be assured he really isn't.
I yell at this kid all the time, "Get it out of your mouth!"  only to find out he was sucking on his cheeks or chewing his tongue or something.  Ooops!

...but yes, he was doing this after I told him not to a million times....

I was cooking and Noah kept saying, "Blankie!"  When I looked, he had this book.  On the front, a boy is lifting a blue blanket off of something.  Noah identified with the boy because Noah's blanket is dark blue on the back just like in this picture.

Falling asleep at supper

Can't even keep his eyes open

Mmmmmm!  Poptarts!

About to put icing on the cupcakes.  See how GREEN they are?  Isaiah's favorite!!! (I think it takes nearly a whole bottle of green food color to make them this green.)

 licking the icing spoons
(I did a little food color and I added some blue flavor of kool aid to the icing to make it this blue.  The kool aid makes it just a little sour and it tasted awesome!)

 Finished product.
Blue with green "worms" on top.  LOL

Do you think he likes it?

Blowing out the candles.  No thanks to the fan.  We had to turn it off and try again.

 Opening presents

Examining the presents with the aid of siblings.  He wanted super heros for his birthday.

Playing super heros.  Daddy is unpacking them as fast as he can.  haha

 eating the cupcakes

taking a walk at Mama Lynn's house.  See the dinosaurs in each pocket?  :)

Noah and Dassah being friends.

Noah is licking the seat.  Hahahaha

"anything you can do I can do better also..."

"anything you can do I can do better than you also with you."

;)

playing cars.  What else is there?

He fell asleep messing with the door stop.

Practicing learning to ride a bike.
Giving Mama Lynn a good workout because he mostly rides the brake or doesn't pedal.

"Hey!  Look at the camera and smile."  (insert 20 million photos...)  "Oh, well.  Good enough."  LOL That's kind of my attitude toward photographing a lot of small children.  "At least it shows their true nature.  That's something I'll want to remember in the future too."

Sidewalk chalk  (Isaiah is playing ball, not doing a potty dance.)

"Mom!  My kitties aren't doing right!"  (I thought they were super cute kitties.  I didn't see what wasn't doing right.)  --That's Mama Lynn on the right side.

coloring books

The girls got new babies.  Here they are giving them a bath

Isaiah shooting his new gun at the bad guy on TV

Noah playing peek-a-boo with someone behind the chair.  Wonder who it is?

Oh!  It's Kathryn!

Watching Duck Tales.  :)  I think we have a new favorite show.

Picking cherries

Dassah looking cute

Sarah and Dassah

 Dassah and Sarah

 picking cherries

"I want that one.  I can't reach."

Noah picked (and ate) a lot of his cherries straight from the grass.  Good or bad...he didn't seem to care.

"Cherries."  (The way he says it, it sounds like "Chewies."

Cherry face

He looked so cute laying there like this.

He looked so cute sitting here like this.  :)

Smallest kid...biggest hoop

 Aviator googles

 hahahahah

They crack me up!

In the bounce house at the church block party

Can you guess what his favorite color is?  He only sampled the same color all 4 nights of the block party.  In all he probably had a million green snow cones.  ;)

Noah sampled ever color...and that included Rainbow (some of each)

Emma was getting brave.  She'd go ask for one all by herself.  She was the first kid to do that.

Frequent "fliers."

Red snow cone + face painted = one happy child

getting her face painted while eating a snow cone

blowing up the hot air balloon

it was sooooooooooooooo hot!  The balloon couldn't get off the ground, but we all got to climb in and out of the basket.

all blown up

 Emma in the basket

She doesn't seem too scared

It's super loud when they add more hot air.  Isaiah didn't like it.

He started to cry and got his turn cut short.

Papa even got in the basket.

Papa!  :)

Mama Lynn is getting water tossed on her

soaking up some shade

bounce house, balloon, train...what more could you possibly ask for?

more snow cones.  We probably ate our weight in ice and sugar.

Dassah the kitty.

Isaiah with his dragon face paint.

Dragon gets snow cone too.  Hahaha

more games...

Papa is in the water clown game

 I think he likes it.

Noah knows what to do

All the grandkids in the vicinity soon come running...

 The airplane/train from the front

Isaiah's second favorite thing to do.  If the train isn't giving rides, this is where Isaiah is.

grinning

so sad he has to share his wheel with Noah.

 different day...same game

cheesing for the camera

Playing games with the kindergarteners one day at VBS

Emma doing the hula hoop

Hadassah throwing the sticky ball

bubbles!  They don't spill!  But they do tend to get too foamy to blow if you aren't careful with them

 bounce house

Riding the wave

face paint!

"Mommy's making me get my WHOLE face painted..."

Face painter!

Panda!  her favorite!

Snow cone and train!  Could this little guy be any happier?

 Look at that face!

Noah saw Emma poking her head through and he ran to toss the water balls on her.  :)

Running to the car after a full day of VBS and block party.  How can they POSSIBLY have this much energy?????

Frequent fliers...They have nearly enough miles to get to Hawaii by now, I'd guess.  ;)

Snacks at VBS

flying kites at the block party

 Abby flying a kite

A train painted on his face.  How perfect is that???

 In the garden

We got to pick/eat fresh peas before we left.  Even my non-pea-lover Noah chowed down like they were the best things ever!

Cherries!

He fell asleep on me.
Look what was waiting for me when I got home?

Aren't they beautiful?  I have a feeling that blue carnations don't exist in nature, but if they do, I sooooo sooooo soooo want to plant some of these in my yard.  :)
